How the work gets agreed

Nobody touches your car before you've seen the price

Independent, family-run, on Kiln Street since 2011. We don't start work you haven't agreed to, and we photograph what we find so you can see it for yourself.

    We look, and we photograph

    The car goes on a ramp and a technician records what they actually find — with a measurement where there is one, and a picture where it helps.

  2. 02

    You get an itemised estimate

    Parts, labour and VAT, line by line. Not a number over the phone — a number we can stand behind, because somebody has looked at your car.

  3. 03

    Nothing starts until you say yes

    You approve all of it, or only the lines you want done. Work does not begin before that, and the lines you declined are never on the invoice.

    Found something else? That's a NEW estimate

    We will not add it to your bill because we happened to be under there already. It is a fresh price and it needs a fresh yes.

What we do

Independent, family-run, on Kiln Street since 2011. We don't start work you haven't agreed to, and we photograph what we find so you can see it for yourself.

Diagnostics

Warning light on, noise you can't place, something that only does it when it's cold — we find out what it actually is before anyone quotes you.

Servicing

Interim and full servicing with a written health check — you see every finding, with a photo, before you decide anything.

Brakes & suspension

Pads, discs, calipers, shocks and springs. Measured, photographed, and priced before we start.

Clutch & cambelt

The big jobs, done properly, with a firm price agreed in writing before the car goes on the ramp.

Air-conditioning

Regas, leak detection and repair — handled by a technician qualified to work with refrigerant.

Vehicle health check

Every service includes a written health check. We'd rather you knew what we meant by it before you booked, not after.

Needs attention now
This is at or past its safe limit. We would not drive the car until it's done, and we'll tell you plainly if we think it's dangerous.
Will need doing
Safe to drive today, but it is wearing out and will need attention — usually within a few months. We'll tell you roughly how long you've got.
No action needed
Checked, measured where relevant, and fine. Nothing for you to do.
Not checked
We could not see or reach this without further dismantling, so we are not going to guess. If you want it checked, we'll quote you for the strip-down.
